Riga Meadow was started in May, 2004 with long time horse professional, Linda Bushnell joining forces with Jackie Merwin, long time business woman.  Together, with many devoted horse owners, on such an incredible property, Riga was born. (see detailed descriptions below).

Linda is a life-long lover of horses and quality horse care and truly committed to making Riga a fun, happy place to be—for horse and rider!  Linda is the managing partner, who supervises and coordinates the care of horses and overall barn management.  She also provides daily lessons to adults and children and exercises and trains horses on behalf of their owners.  Linda keeps her thoroughbred Max at Riga.

Assistant Manager

Suzanne B. Keenan has joined Riga in November 2006 as the part time Assistant Manager.  Suzanne brings a wealth of experience having worked as a Veterinary Assistant in a busy veterinary hospital, and as a manager of a large 60-horse estate.  Her husband is a farrier.

Jackie is the business partner, party and event planner, and flower arranger.  She, too, is committed to maintaining a fabulous atmosphere, fun events, Olympian-level clinicians and high quality events.  She keeps her horse Copper at Riga, and sometimes her old, lazy black lab, Biscuit.
